For most of my artwork, I use a free downloadable program called GIMP (usually for photo manipulation). I also have Paint SAI(only when there was still free trial) and also Pixia. This is kind of my "alternative" because there were little issues going on with my Photoshop 7.0(since I got a burned copy and I can't afford a real one)...but I still use it. I will be purchasing the newest PS CS5!!
